Event training

Joule shares its knowledge and encourages others - students, unemployed and career changers - to take the plunge into the world of events, an area where the right skills and experience are at a premium. Joule delivers training courses that offer people the opportunity to learn about events and to see if they have a taste for it. Joule has run 17 training courses since 2004 and many trainees have gained employment on events since participating. In 2009 Joule developed the training expertise of the company further, delivering 2 major projects - and Julie Flavell, Joule’s Director, qualified as an Arts Awards Advisor.

Joule has an experienced team of event assistants. In 2008 Joule provided 122 event assistants during a 3-week period for Telectroscope installation by Artichoke.

The London 2012 Olympics will deliver a vast number of events’ opportunities to boost the cultural programme across the capital. Joule provides a training toolkit to meet the challenge on every level.
